Projects

Millside Studio - Tracy Linwood

I use the studio for creating my own work for exhibitions and workshops. All classes are centered round my unique material and are specially created for the class.

I am keen to encourage everyone to explore their creative ability.

The studio displays artwork and cards for sale.

I accept commissions for that special memory or present.

Workshops

These are held at the studio and are for a maximum of four students, ensuring that each individual receives the help and tuition that may be needed.

The classes are friendly and informal and run from 11am with a lunch break at 12:30pm with a finish by 5pm.

Individual tuition is also available.

Mixed Media

Using inks,acrylic, wax, watercolour and pastel Tracy creates beautiful abstract art and encourages others to try the process. Experimentation is at the heart of this approach.

Collage

Working with a selection of textured and coloured papers, newsprint and text from old books we create a scene, usually inspired by local buildings or the Dorset landscape

Textile Art

Crabs, Jellyfish, Seahorses and a variety of insects and plants appear from a collection of fabric and thread. Anyone who loves to stitch and create will enjoy the textile workshops that are held in the studio. A step by step approach allows even a beginner to achieve exceptional results with just a basic knowledge of sewing.

Pastel

Using pastels in a supportive environment allows students to produce interesting and competent, creative work during a Pastel Workshop.

Pen and Ink

Pen and Ink Classes are a good way to develop your drawing and observational skills. The workshops are tailored to the skills of the student, so beginners and more experienced artists are catered for.

Acrylic

Painting with acrylics allows the use of bright and exciting colours. Portraying landscapes through to flowers and plants. These workshops offer an expressive outlet for your creative abilities.

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
